Greetings;
In NortonLifeLock's "FAQ: Dark web monitoring notifications" page, I see the Sixth FAQ regards:
(Question): "I don't recognize the website mentioned in my Dark Web Monitoring Notification. How do I know I have used this before?
(Answer): "There could be several reasons why you may not recognize the website mentioned in a notification. For example, the account may have been created via Facebook or Google log in. Some accounts may be old, and you may not remember having used the website or service. In some instances, you may have provided login details (username/password) for a one-time use, after which you may have never went back to the website or account again. Sometimes breached sites or services may deactivate exposed accounts which can make it difficult to remember or identify an account as belonging to you."
Yet of the Three Alerts I have received during this past week, at No Time has NortonLifeLock provided me with " the website mentioned in a notification".
I also see that some suggest ""Click on the alert and you are prompted to get the one time verification code sent to your email".
Yet they provide No Prompt.
A few days ago, after a lengthy search, I was able to find it through The Community--But NortonLifeLock Never Sent Me A Verification Code.
So a little while ago, I see I have another Alert.
That is Three Major Failures on their part, after only Three Attempts.
I ended up going to Norton's facebook page today, and asking about it in the comments section. The responder claimed to "know how (I) feel", and gave me a phone number to call.
I am very curious as to which online security company people at NortonLifeLock use.
If you are able to see the information in the alerts, you do not need a verification code. The first time I tried to read the information in an alert, some information was masked. That is when I was prompted to request the code. After I received the code and entered it into the Norton site, the information was available to me. And subsequent logins no longer required verification on my email.
bjm, would you please actually read my post?
There was no website mentioned in the notification.
The only link I have is the "learn more" prompt which does not either lead me to a prompt for a verification code or provide a verification code.
If you do not receive your verification code, please check your spam or junk folders. As there may be a delay, please check your folders again in 5 minutes, or check back again later. If you still do not receive your code, please contact your Internet Service Provider to resolve this issue. Please do not send multiple requests as it will make the condition only worse.

peterweb, I have checked the Dark Web section, and I have gone through each alert.
I've clicked them all.
Norton has yet to send me a verification code.
Thank you.

Have you checked the Dark Web section of your Norton Account? When look at the Dark Web section, scroll down to see any alerts. You only get the prompt for the one time code the first time you access your alerts. At least that is what I found when I was testing these notifications.
If a code is needed, Norton does not send it until you request it by clicking on one of your alerts.

Click the link that is provided in the alert notification.
You will receive a verification code to the exposed email displayed in the notification.
