Default browser

In Firefox I can select default search engine as Google after adding Norton Safe Search.    (see attachment)

But in Edge, it sends me to manage, and keeps Ask as search default.  The only solution in Edge to use Google search is to type Google.com in the Address bar.  I have to do this for every search I do.   How can I avoid typing this for every search?  Or is it either/or, safe search or Google search?

Hello @toobusybee
Were you able to disable Norton Safe Search &or Norton Home Page extension/s ?

How do you disable safe search?

What browser/s?
Look in your browser extensions => disable Norton Safe Search &or Norton Home Page extension/s

How do you disable safe search?

Yeah, I just disabled Norton Safe Search.  Not sure what that really gained me.  Am leaving Norton Safe Web that shows the green check at a good website.  And Google search is back.

Okay...I thought you were running Norton Home Page extension.

Maybe, run Google search engine used in the address bar - Google (Default) - with Norton Safe Web extension from Chrome store.

My point is that Edge does not allow you to change to Google as the default browser, once you install Norton Safe Search.    Does anyone have a way for getting around this besides typing in the Address Bar "Google.com" each search?

In your opening post.  I see Norton Home Page extension.

My pics [here] are Edge with Norton Home Page extension.

Bjm - If you have Norton safe search installed and active, you cannot change the default search to Google.  Not an option.
