Default login for site

Sometimes I have multiple logins for a site but Norton always pick the login I don’t want instead of the last used login. Had to uncheck autofill the other logins for the site. Can you add an option to specify the default login to use for the site.

Hi Darksta,

Can you provide following information to know more about the issue

1.Product  version (you can find it from NIS main UI->about)?

2.Provide information about OS version, Browser type(FF/IE) with version?

Thanks,

Senthil

DarkSta,

There is no option to make a login default, When there are multiple logins, it will fill the Last-used login.  Also if you check "Display my logins each time I visit a page with multiple logins" from Identity safe options, It will display all the available logins for the site, you can select a login you want from the list displayed.

multiplelogins.jpgHi Darksta

Hope you are using NIS 2012,The avalible logins will be displayed ,you can select any of the login ,filling the last used Login is by design.

I have attached the screen shot for the reference

Restarted and all is well.  Perhaps a little glitch? :smileyvery-happy:

Edit: Guess I spoke too soon.  I used Gmail but the identiy safe not filling up the email with the last used logins.

Version: 19.1.0.28 (NIS2012)

Internet Explorer: Version 9

WIndows: Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64 bit

hi,

Can you check following options under browsing options

1.Browsing Options > Auto-fill my logins when i visit websites is  checked or not?

2.Offer to save my credentials  when login to websites checked or not?

Thanks,

Senthil

All are the default options and all are checked.  Problem only happening with Gmail.  Try it with logins of different name and starting with different characters other than test1 test2 test3.

Like mike, Wisky, Junior, etc and try with actual logins that work with gmail...

What I have done is uncheck the option "auto-fill when I visit this page" for the other Gmail logins I do not use.  I then fill those logins by choosing it from the list when I need.  My default Gmail login is the only one with the option checked.

Hi,

Its working fine for gmail with different user names

1.Are you getting the save infobar while saving new logins for different usernames

2.Are you able to view the saved logins under edit logins.

3. Have you checked the option "ignore this page" for gmail under identitysafe->options->ignore this page. If you have checked that option please uncheck option("stop ignoring this page") and try again

Thanks,

Senthil.

I found the error.  The new login saves the URL for Gmail as https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?service=mail&passive=true&rm=false&continue=http%3A%2F%2Fmail.google.com%2Fmail%2F%3Fui%3Dhtml%26zy%3Dl&bsv=llya694le36z&scc=1&ltmpl=default&ltmplcache=2&from=login while the imported Gmail (from NIS11) saves the URL as https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin.  Deleted the problematic account and created a new one using https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?service=mail&passive=true&rm=false&continue=http%3A%2F%2Fmail.google.com%2Fmail%2F%3Fui%3Dhtml%26zy%3Dl&bsv=llya694le36z&scc=1&ltmpl=default&ltmplcache=2&from=login and it works OK.  Looks like the problem is due to the accounts using different URLs.

Edit: logins for the accounts using different urls not accounts using different urls.
