Defaults to thinking on public network

Issue abstract:
Norton continuously thinks am on public network after switching off PC, even after advising it is private and switching off VPN
Detailed description:
Since returning from Spain, when used a public WIFI, my home pc continually switches to stating I seem to be on a public network and stops emails coming in. I change to advise private and switch off VPN, but next time PC is switched on the machine again thinks I am on a public network. What should I do?

Mesh network smart firewall changes from private to public

So it appears I may have stumbled across the issue!!! I found a conflict in the registry!!! Between category and categorytype! Category was private but since categorytype was public, it seems it was changing it back to public. I changed both to Private and so far nomore issues!!! Registry entry is “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\NetworkList\Profiles” under profiles it was a bunch of numbers and letters… But hallelujah no more problems!!!
