Now that there is no Norton Anti-Spam folder in outlook, and since most "good" email would be moved to the inbox by clicking "this is not spam", wouldn't it make sense to have the junk email folder permanently delete the items when you click "empty spam folder" instead of moving the emails to the deleted item folders?
If you right click on the junk email folder and click "empty folder" that is exactly what happens.
One less mouse click.

Hi mdturner. Thanks for the input!!! That may very well be the case. In my mind, Norton creates the tab, toolbar and the addons, and the command must surely come from the click on the empty spam file icon on the Norton tab. Bear in mind that my mind doesn’t always see things the way they are. Jim
