Deleting dual boot computers from Norton Management

I used Norton Management to delete one of the computers of a dual boot system. Both OS's on the dual boot system used the same installation of NIS 2012 (counted as one installation). When I no longer needed the second OS, I went to Norton Management to delete the unused OS.I will note here that neither OS was booted up at that time.

After that deletion, the second OS still showed in Norton Management. But the next time the remaining OS was started, it had no Norton protection. I had to re activate using the original key. Everything is back to normal now.

I am assuming that because the 2 OS's were on the same physical machine, the deletion of one in effect deleted the entire machine.

I'm posting this as an FYI, not really looking for a solution.
