In a previous post (http://community.norton.com/t5/Other-Norton-Products/Does-Ghost-15-delete-offisite-copies-when-recovery-point-is/td-p/557192), I was disappointed to find that Ghost 14 automatically deletes offsite copies of recovery point sets when the local (primary target) copy is deleted. I was able to work around this by writing a script that creates hard links to the offsite copies on my NAS such that Ghost is unware of them and only deletes the original links but not the actual file data. Now I find that when I consolidate incrementals on the local copy of a recovery point set, Ghost does not copy the consolidated incremental to the offsite desitination and leaves the old incremental copies untouched on the offsite destination. Is there any way to force Ghost to update the offsite incremental copies so that they mirror the consolidated incremental on the local drive? i.e., copy consolidated incremental and delete the incrementals that have been consolidated to make this new incremental. (Obviously I can do this manually outside of Ghost, but sure would be nice if Ghost were more consistent and straightforward with its handling of offsite copies.)
