it is possible to remove files from the backup, but you have to select all files separately. It took me a day to delete about 700mb from my online storage.
I need a button witch says "delete all files from backup" savesa huge amount of time

Surely a program made by a manufacturer as big as Norton could have some simple options as "Select All" or "Delete All Files" ??
I have not set up "backup" on my own computer so haven't had the chance to see these settings.
The simplest of programs out there have have these type of choices when clearing up files.
Reyals:
One method you could try is to click on the first file you are going to delete, and then, if you are going to delete the lot, press in the Ctrl key and hit the letter A key ...... this means basically select all, all files should then be selected for you to delete.
Again, this is just a suggestion as I have not loaded that part of my program.
Hope it helps for next time

thanks for the useless answer
. let me clarify it for you. there are three options at the bottom: "select all", "select nothing" and "remove selected". the problem is that you have to select ALL the files in a folder. there is no way to select them all at once.
In the purge pane, the "select all" button only applies to the current folder you have browsed to (and specifically the files within that folder). It is not recursive. In order to purge your entire backup you would need to go into each folder and perform the same operation.
and I have the problem that there are a HUGE amount of folders which takes a lot of time to load them. I have a superfast (12Mbit) connection, but loading the folders from symantec takes a lot of time. So I'm screwed since n360 made 1 backup with the wrong settings and now it takes me some days to delete all these useless files. that is the reason why i want a DELETE ALL FILES button, regardless of what folder the files are in. I cannot imagine I'm the only one who wants to clear some space on their pricy 2GB online storage.

Hi reyals,
I realize that the process of deleting everything in your online backup in v2 is cumbersome. For this reason I have offered to assist people by purging their online backup sets for them should they need to start over with a fresh backup. Due to the fact that all of your files are encrypted, I am not able to purge specific files, only the entire backup set. If you would like me to clear out your account send either a forum PM or an email (my email address is in my profile) and I will take care of it.
