Question: How do you safely erase/remove/delete/purge your "online" (actually Norton server) backup file?
Background: I used Norton online backup to save favorites etc., then ran out of space so I decided instead to save the information onto an external HD. Frankly, nothing is crucial so I could probably leave them there forever, but thought it best to delete them. Okay, now I want to erase/remove/delete/purge the "online" files as unnecessary. I've found numerous explanations, but the language used is unclear and I'm concerned I may be deleting the "set" or original from my HD, rather than the server. When I go to Norton Online Backup, I find three files, but can only send email links and download - not "purge" as the instructions indicate.
Here are a couple of the solutions I found - but I'm looking for someone who has personally performed the function and erased/purged their online file.
https://www-secure.symantec.com/norton-support/jsp/help-solutions.jsp?d...... [not sure what the rest is] and
https://nobu.backup.com/OnlineHelp/en/NOBU_Help0034.html [this may not relate to Norton 360, but what do I know....]
Okay - so any who has personally erased/deleted/purged, etc. their online date (not CD, HD, etc.), but online, please provide me simple step-by-step procedures that even I can follow.
Thank you in advance.
