Device Connect and Device Disconnect

I have a question!  Many, many times I am on the Internet and I may be browsing, reading emails or whatever and I will get a Device Connect or Device Disconnect alarm.  I do not know why, as I am not connecting or disconnecting any hardware or whatever.  This has been going on now for several months.  Can anyone explain this to me?  Is someone connecting a DVD recorder, etc?

can you please tell us how do you connect to the internet? Via a (cable or adsl) modem that is directly connected to your machine? Or via wifi?

Which windows os and service pack do you use?


And can you please tell us the exact version of your Norton product?
1. Open the main window
2. Click on Help & Support -> About menu
3. On the About window find the version number (it will look like this: 5.0.0.125)
