Hi guys/gals.
about 20 minutes ago i got a supposed Adobe Flash update which was actually this virus. Norton 360 blocked/quarentined them and i downloaded the symantec Zeroaccess removal tool. It restarted my computer but would not start up due to this blue screen that keep preforming a memory dump(?) and then restart over and over.
So i did a repair/system restore and everything is up and running fine. I just ran the Zeroaccess tool again and it found zero infections and i haven't had any alerts so far, but i look in the security history and this is what i get
It shows the Trojans being blocked and Quarentined, does that mean they are still on my computer?
And following the directions, after doing the system restore to an earlier safe backup and after running the symantec removal tool for a second time, it informed me that Trojan.Zeroaccess was not found.
Does this mean i am safe now or are they still lurking on my computer? i am running a full scan and so far no warnings or errors of any kind, so i am lead to believe that the system restore worked to repair the infected files that norton blocked above.? am i right
Im running Windows 7 Ultiamte 64 bit.
