Not everything is the same between NIS and N360.premier. For one thing, as of right now NIS 2012 is based on a newer engine than N360 premier version 5. Once version 6 comes out, the engines will be more similar. Of course N360 premier includes the backup feature which N360 has. You would also find that NIS is more tweakable than N360 is. N360 is good for just installing the program and then forgetting about it..as far as the security end of it goes. I think there is more utiility functions in N360 also.
Norton 360 is built on Norton Internet Security, so it basicly have everything NIS has. But some settings are not visible in 360, as it is designed as a set once and run automatically program what will do everything for the user.
