In attempting to renew my Norton 360 subscription, I've run into a very peculiar problem. When I click the in-program Renew button (which, so far as I know, is the only recommended way to renew the product), Norton informs me that I need to complete my renewal process on the Symantec website and promptly launches my Internet browser. Unfortunately, when my browser launches, it immediately gives me an "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error message. At this point, I'm pretty much forced to close both windows, despite instructions from the program not to do so.
My first instinct was obviously to double-check my connection, and it doesn't appear to be the issue. I have a wireless Linksys connection that works normally, and Internet Explorer also works properly. This leads me to believe that there might be something faulty with the Symantec link to which I've been redirected, or perhaps there is some other error or improper setting in either Norton or IE.
I've done a couple searches in the support archives, but I've thus far been unable to find a resolution. I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions anybody might have for this problem. (I'd also like to make sure that I haven't been erroneously charged on the numerous instances I've failed to renew the product!)
Thanks very much.
Patrick,
If you are unable to access the renewal page, I think the best thing you can do is to contact Customer Service. I am sure that they can help you in placing an order separately for renewal and get you the renewal key(subscription).
Thank you for the replies! And sorry for the late response -- as it turns out, I had to delay resolving this issue until just recently.
PapauZ, I used your link and successfully purchased and activated a renewal, so I'm all set for another year. Thanks!
Yogesh_mohan, I will definitely keep your solution in mind for the future. I'm still a little confused as to why the in-program process didn't work, and were I not so pressed for time I'd certainly inquire why. But this time around, I'm satisfied with a quick workaround. Still, thanks!
