I reside in Singapore. My Norton360 was subscribed for $54.99 Sin$ last year. Its going to be dued in 2 weeks. But i was pissed-off when now the price S$79.99.A shocking $25 increase or 45%. I am not intending to continue anymore i thought. A new 1PC Norton selling at major PC shops here in singapore only cost less than $60..(yes its Norton360 V6)
i am asking Norton why the difference ?
also i am definitely piss-off with this auto_renewal function. I had disabled it last few weeks but i continue to receive for a auto-renewal of $79.99 days ago. I think Norton is taking advantage of Asian countries customers by introducing agressive marketing tactics.
Will Norton offer any explaination here.

Many people buy a retail copy in a store or on line if it is cheaper than renewing just for the price difference and this is nothing to do with which country you are in.
So if you see a good price for the same version you have installed -- Norton 360 Standard or Norton 360 Premier -- then buy it and use the KEY (you do not have to reinstall) a few days before your subscription runs out since using a new KEY wipes out unexpired time whereas Renewing adds the time.
I don't know why your automatic renewal does not stay stopped if you want it stopped and there contacting CHAT as suggested is the best way of sorting this out.
why Norton want to have such difference...actually isnt online purchases/renewal suppose to be cheaper than from retailers stores. Its just more inconvenient caused.
I waited 30min for a chat and thats not the experience i wish to bring up...
thanks for advice will get it from the store.
Ricky.

I meant to reply on that too -- Norton can't undercut the prices that their authorized distributors charge or they would not have any ....
Also low retail prices are often after short term special offers with discounts and/or tie-ins by which they can limit any reduced profit.
Norton do offer special prices on line from time to time so it's always worth checking but again with the internet being international you may still find that there are offers that don't apply to your location. Sometimes because of local restrictions or different tax rates, import duties and so on.
It's not just Norton, I can assure you.
