diStRptr.dat (stands for Disruptor)

Hi,

First time up and I think my user name says it all.  I hope that I can get this all down before I use the use of my pc.  A couple of weeks ago my pc 's hard drive went into full throttle mode and since I have been trying to find out why.  Difficult when nothing will run.  Finally have found that an NIS file, NIS_21.2.0.38\diStRptr\diStRptr.dat is the cause.  The today I have managed to find that this has been an issue for some time yet despite doing countless updates and countless scans I have got nowhere and what I have read counts as gobbledegook so is there anyone that can help me please in plain english.  Using the pc for 20 minutes at a time is driving me crazy.
