I'm considering updating from 14 to 15. Ghost 14 has worked well, but one issue has been a bit of a hassle.
Under Ghost 14, if the drive had a dirty shutdown or other offline activity, the product would correctly reconcile the drive to the most recent image since the incremental backup tracking is lost under these circumstances. However, any time this occured, the next incremental backup ended up being about the same size as the original full backup.
I don't mind the reconciliation process taking time and system resources, but i don't understand the resulting backup being the same size as the full backup. They definitely functioned as incrementals - just huge incrementals.
So I was wondering if Ghost 15's reconciliation process produces incremental images which are more in line with the actual number of changes on the drive?
Thanks for any experience you may be able to share.
Best regards,
Philip.
