Hi,
When I go on a certain secure website to login, I get a message that I must accept cookies in order to login. I verified my browesrs (IE and Firebox) and they both accept cookies.
I was wondering if there is an area in NIS where cookies are blocked. If so, how do I change the setting in order toaccept cookies?
Thank you in advance.
Hi keepmycomptssafe,
Norton does not prevent sites from setting cookies. In the Norton settings you will find an option for removing or ignoring tracking cookies during system scans. Tracking cookies are third-party cookies, whereas the cookies that sites use to remember you when you log in are first-party cookies. Therefore Norton will not block or remove the cookies that you want to keep for login purposes.
If you are having any issues with these cookies, you can always go into the browser's privacy settings and use the "Allow" option in "Exceptions" to add the names of sites that should always be allowed to set and retain cookies.
