Does Norton 360 disable Windows defender?

Windows Defender is disabled in Windows 10 startup.  I did not disable it.  Did Norton 360 disable it, possibly when I installed Norton 360?

any 3rd party antivirus ( security ) will pause or disable the defender, thats built in to be compatable windows

just means in generic terms that defender isnt going to run or interfere with any other antivirus program
