Does Norton Removal Tool delete backups

I have Norton Ghost installed.  If I use the Norton Removal Tool will it delete my backups when it uninstalls Ghost?

The Answer is NO. The Norton Removal tool won't delete the backup images(GHO/GHS files) you made using the Norton Ghost. Norton Removal tool exclude those, so that you can restore those image using Norton Ghost if you reinstall it. But, if you want, you can manually delete those images.

Yes thanks.  I have them on an external drive.  I did intend to disconnect it.  I asked because I didn't know if the removal would have failed with the drive unavailable.  The program files are all on my main disk.

 

I know I could have found out just by trying it, but figured if it failed in the middle of a removal it might not let me reinstall later.
