I know the "prefered" method of malware submission is via the Symantec web portal. But sometimes I have a sample that is embedded in an install package that is larger then the limit the web portal will accept. Also, sometimes I've several sample I wish to submit but can't because it exceeds the web portals limit.
Is Symantec still accepting samples via E-mail? I've been sending them to:
Is this e-mail address still valid? I haven't received any bounced messages or errors. If not, is there another e-mail address?
I submit sample to multiple venders and it's inconvient sending the samples seperately via web portal, especially having to use the reCAPTCHA every time (several times a day).
How does Virustotal submit samples? Don't they use e-mail to do this?
