Hey All,
I'm new to Norton 2009 and I have some questions.
Does the anti-phishing feature also block scripts?
TIA,

The Phishing Protection or Identity Safe in NIS 2009 can block the web pages with malicious scripts. Virus writers love to exploit their security holes, using them to stealthily download malicious code and embed nasty ActiveX scripts into Web pages. When activated by your browser, these scripts can launch attacks on your computer. The Identity Safe(Phishing protection) lets you know when Web sites contain a security risk. The toolbar will show green or red depending on the state of the Web page. A red state on the toolbar tells you that a security risk has been detected. Norton will block the page and Symantec recommends that you do not visit the site. Also, it is recommended to disable scripting and active content unless you really need it. Scripts - especially ActiveX controls - are common tools for installing spyware without your knowledge or consent. You can always turn on scripting should you need it for a trusted site.
