Does visiting scamadviser gives you a malware?

today I clicked on a site that I've never visited before which is guide alibaba com, I didn't trust it so I searched the site on safeweb and scamadviser, later on I've found out scamadviser was an illegitimate site that gives you virus (said on the reviews on norton safeweb about scamadviser). There was no pop up ( I searched my history if there was but nothing found) The reviews on norton safeweb about scamadviser said they got a pop up which was blocked by norton but I don't have norton so I don't really know if something was blocked by my other antivirus or by my adblock. I used malwarebytes and it didn't found anything, I used avast and ran a full scan and didn't found anything. I didn't force stop chrome and rebooted my laptop. I've visited scamadvisor before I even knew it was not safe but with adblock but didn't really find any virus when I scanned before. Does scamadviser really gives you malware or am I just being paranoid? Is it possible that the virus is very deep in my computer that avast or malwarebytes cant find it? What do I do if it is?
