Doesn't we need updates?

Untill 2 or 3 months before we all will see on top few posts of each product page, the compactablity updates and patches as well as common issue addressing and others being announced by ADMINs and EMPLOYEEs.

Is it discontinued?

See he Screen shots of NIS/NAV and N360. They are horribly outdated.....

I hope some admins will address the issue soon..... :smileyhappy:

Perhaps you missed the Product Updates Board:

Hi yank,

I am aware of that section of forum............

Didn't you find that the link you posted had updated information, where as the first section of NIS/NAV and N360 product pages were outdated?

I would compare the Product Update announcement page and NIS/NAV & N360 pages as

  • college notice board (Product Update announcement) where almost all updates and announcements are given, regardless of type
  • department notice board (NIS/NAV & N360 top section), where only posts relevant to that type / product is being given.

It would be handy and easy to follow for users or visitors jumping straight into the product forum page rather than to Community page(community.norton.com)

I've Kudos'd both your messages because I can't give more than one to your second <g>

I agree with you 100% -- each section should give the latest update for its product as well as having it appear in the Global section; easy enough to automate I would think.

It might be appropriate to prune some of the vastly out of date information to an archive?

Is there any update regarding this?
Still the posts are same…
May be as huwyngr said, it would be easy enough to automate the updation process.

Happy Easter…

Not so much the update process but the posting of information in each relevant Forum ....

Hi cv,

Just some addtional information in regards to the Product Update Blog that you may not be aware of:

Something new has been implemented for our community - LABELS. Each entry will have a few labels associated with it, and that will help in a few ways. Labels can be helped to organize the content of this area, mkaing sure thigns are categorized appropriately. It also helps with notifications: customers can receive subscription emails for specific labels used.

For example, if someone only wants to know when Norton Internet Security is updated, they just need to:

1) open the Product Update Announcements , scroll down to "Labels", and click the label "Norton Internet Security". This will display all the articles using that label.

2) At the top of that page, it will show a link to SUBSCRIBE to this label. Click that link, and you're all set. Now the member will be notified of any new entries posted with the same label.

Probably not the answer you are looking for - but a method of staying on top of updates.

Thats right… Something similar to ‘Add Tag’ feature of posts, in a way

Atlast some responsible from Norton has heared the call. New update for ff29 is posted to nis and n360 board.

Don't know why you say "at last" since the official release of FF 29 was April 29 and the announcement was dated April 28 ......

Oh! Thanks for concern. I meant the board product update announcement section of nis/nav and n360. For some reasons they weren’t updated for a while.

I know this post is strictly off topic but I just wanted to modify the title (from here on at least) to something the translation software might understand better.   :smileywink:

Thanks Mike,

Unfortunately it doesn't change earlier messages and only those later that use the Reply button on a message with the correction.

But it does mean that a search should find part of the thread .......
