Download Error

I have been attempting to install Norton 360 Premiere Edition on secondary computer, which formerly had Norton 360. After several attempts all ending in a similar fashion I have been unable to successfully complete the install. After saving and running the download file everything proceeds as normal, it’s at the very end of the process an error occurs.

The process goes like this…

-Installing > Extracting the virus scanner > Downloading the latest virus definitions (long pause at 100%) > Scanning > Installing Norton, less than a minute remaining (long pause at 100%) > Collecting Error Logs > Preparing to uninstall > Removing Norton Files > Compressing Error Logs

Then I get the Error message to Upload error report to Symantec.

I tried Power Eraser 3 times; it did remove a wajamupdater.exe file but did not fix the problem.

I got an error message which stated “Installation requires access to a resource that is currently locked. Please try again later.” I think the number associated with it was 21297746. I tried both steps 1 and 2 listed on Norton website. With no success.

I also attempted to chat with someone earlier today but I was unable to establish the connection to enable the tech to attempt to fix the problem remotely.

Oh and as a last resort I did a system restore to several days ago, also no change. Please help.
