I have Norton System Works 2006 loaded on an older PC.
Had to reinstall the application, have 300 days plus remaining on subscription. It is activated.
After reinstall an getting error LU1847 on Symantec Trusted Application List, Norton Anti Virus Definitions, Norton AntiVirus Internet Worm Protection Signature Updates. Live Update could not determine if there is an update for this product because the update list for this product is corrupted? I assume this problem is on the Symantec server?
The link for more information in the error box directs to Norton update center which I can search and obtain a free update to Norton System Works 2009. I can download update manager fine, and save the Exe file fine, but keep receiving communication errors from Symantec on the download of the application. My ISp is fine as all other applications to the internet are fine.
Is this common and does anyone know a way around this problem? I now have extremely old definitions and unable to download an updated System Works which is not good.
Any help will be appreciated as there is no phone support on this product.
