If you install a driver using Windows application you can roll it back. The Norton update didn’t give you that option. I ended up getting the speaker driver from Dell and uninstalled/reinstalled it. Two hours of my life I’ll never get back.
See this Norton Support article for how to restore a previous driver.
Driver updates never work. If it doesn’t this time, I will cancel prescription. Fed Up customer.
Thank you for confirming that I don’t need to spend my hard earned money unnecessarily. If it doesn’t work and still throws popups, I sure don’t need to pay money for the popups.
I respectfully disagree.
I like paying my hard earned money for products that don’t work especially well, are way-overpriced in their market segment and incessantly spam me.
I loved paying for the product when it was basically an Alpha/Beta product that was charging a premium price as it hid behind a once-respected corporate name.
I enjoyed paying a lot for the product when AVG is selling the identical software for a fraction of the price.
That’s what it’s all about. Pay more, get less, and get spammed incessantly.
That is the way, the truth, and the light. Amen.
When you look at these drivers that “need updating” using Windows of which I trust more than Norton, the drivers are up to date. I did this for my bluetooth drivers Norton was stating were out of date. I have used Norton for years but think this partnership is coming to an end.
