Driver Updater - Pointless

I wouldn’t trust Driver Updater farther than I could throw a 1 tonne weight.
It has just popped up listing all the drivers it has detected that are out of date. One being my Intel motherboard graphics driver. On clicking the arrow to check it tried to tell me that recommended driver was from October 2024 (with a version number 31.xx) and is more recent than the installed driver from June 4th 2025 (version 32.xx)
If it can’t get a major driver version correct then there is little hope for the other motherboard drivers. AVOID

I recently purchased Norton driver updater and I’ve been experiencing problems with my usb-c hub ever since. I thought the hub went bad, so I bought another one. That one didn’t work, so I bought a third. I finally googled this issue only to find out that the Norton driver updater is considered bad. Does anyone have any tips on what I can do about this issue? I’m ready to cancel Norton driver updater, but perhaps there is something I am missing. Thanks for any help you can give me.

On the forums our suggestion is “EXTREME CAUTION” when using both Driver Updater and Software Updater. They both have been known to render devices not bootable. Windows Updates is the greatest way to keep your Windows drivers updated. OEM vendors work with Microsoft to ensure delivery of drivers that are important to keeping their compatibility with Windows current. Also, the manufacturer websites for computer makers will release emergency and other updates for their hardware and should also be utilized. Hope that helps. REMOVE driver updater and reinstall the drivers for your USB-C hub.

You can restore your computer to a date before this took place. Or, run Windows Updates to see if it downloads the missing drivers for you. If not visit the website of your PC manufacturer for drivers and install them.
