Norton Utilities Ultimate includes a feature that allows for the detection and cleanup of duplicates files on Cloud Drives. It works very well. I have attempted to determine whether a similar feature exists for local drives. Norton’s virtual agent said ‘yes’ but could not tell me how to navigate to the feature and finally connected me to a live agent who seems completely unfamiliar with the Utilities Ultimate product. Does anyone know if the Find Duplicate files for local drive exist and if so, how do I navigate to it in Utilities Ultimate?

Windows or Mac?
Windows: The feature for scanning local folders does not appear to be documented in the current Windows knowledge base. If you’re running Norton Utilities Ultimate for Windows and you cannot find any “Duplicate Finder” or similar item anywhere in the interface, I’m inclined to believe the feature isn’t currently exposed for local drives on Windows , despite what the Virtual Agent claimed. The current Windows documentation doesn’t mention a local duplicate finder, only the cloud-based duplicate detection.
Based on the current Norton documentation and product information, I do not believe a similar feature exists for local drives in the Windows version of Norton Utilities Ultimate.
Here’s why:
The Windows documentation for Cloud Cleaner explicitly describes finding duplicate files only in supported cloud storage (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Gmail). It does not mention scanning local drives.
The official Windows feature list includes Cloud Cleaner , but there is no “Duplicate Finder” listed among the Windows tools.
Norton has published a separate knowledge base article for Mac that introduces a Duplicate Finder for local folders , with its own navigation path (Duplicate Finder > Find duplicates ). There is no corresponding Windows article.
So, unless Norton has quietly introduced an undocumented feature in a very recent Windows build, the evidence indicates:
Norton Utilities Ultimate for Windows currently appears to support duplicate file detection only for supported cloud drives through Cloud Cleaner. A comparable local drive Duplicate Finder is documented only for the Mac version.
