Hi
i am not sure if this has been covered before?
So i will go ahead with my idea and i am sure someone will
reply and tell me if it has been posted already.
Why is it with the release of a new product like Norton Anti-Theft
that Symantec Norton does not allow users to purchase Electronic
Activation Keys that can be downloaded for activating a web based
download of the software..
Just copy and paste, and print out for safe keeping.
It would allow for a quicker turn over of the new product when released
instead of having to wait for retail outlets or Symantec Norton regional
online stores to stock the product.
The electronic activation key purchase could also be used for existing
Norton programs when purchasing the program from new, where a
renewal cannot be used as the product has not been used or installed
previously on the customers computer.
I understand there are alot of users that prefer a hard copy of what they
are purchasing, but there are also alot of users that prefer to download
and install the new product without having to leave their home. I would
save loyal customers who sometimes travel long distances or have long
waiting periods for delivery via mail or freight companies
I only bring this up as i have purchased lots of new programs online
where you download the program and use the activation key given in
a email to activate the new program.
It would be a fast and efficent means of purchase and instalation of a
Norton product for a new install or a new product release to get the
product out to the customers as fast as possible.
Not sure why Symantec Norton does not use this method of product
release and purchase.??
I am hoping someone will be able to help me with some answers to my
questions and ideas.
Cheers.
PS Maybe wasting time but just trying my bit to make Norton better and a
little bit more user friendly for it's customers.
