Email Address Update for Transaction Notifications

I've been trying to update the email address on my account for transaction notifications (via Preferences).  It is an old email address and not the one that I login with.  I've tried from my iPhone and Mac, but even though I get a message that says it has been updated, it does not stick.  I've chatted and talked to several representatives with no resolution and am now just getting a daily email with my case number when I ask for a response.  Has anyone else had this happen?
