Good evening - I am having a repeating problem with the Norton Security Suite (release 4.0.0.127) provided by Comcast Cable. I cannot send email with attachment (file size 6 MG). I receive error message stating that email exceeds maximum permitted file size. I cannot find any setting within the Norton Security Suite to change the permissible file size or disable this feature. I am certain that the problem is with Norton and not my ISP because out of desperation (I had to send the picture to my realtor), I uninstalled the Norton Security Suite and was able to successfully send the picture. Afterward, I reinstalled Norton Security Suite, tried to send the same email with attachment and received the same error message - help!
Hi MMAlex,
Actually it is your ISP. Norton doesn't care about the size of your messages, but your ISP does. When your ISP notifies you of a delivery problem Norton receives and displays the alert. Check with your ISP as to their size limits.
