How can I get an emergency Boot CD for Ghoast 14 trial?

Gerhard

I was lucky: The service helped me and send me the iso-file for free! I tested Ghost14 now also with Emergency-CD and it convinced me and I ordered Ghost14 yesterday. It is a nice pice of software! As an old user of PowerQuest DiskImage I am happy that Ghost further uses the same data-format for the images. So I can still use my old images too.

Hi,

Who do I have to contact to get the recovery disk on trial?

This is an absolute necessity as I need to be sure that I can use my external USB drive before purchasing. I currently own Ghost 2003 and the major problem with it is no USB support in DOS mode for my USB drive. Thought I'd try Ghost 14 and it obviously backs up whilst within Windows as it recognises the drive, but it's of no use at all if the drive doesn't work from the recovery CD.

By the way, how does the backup work now? In Ghost 2003 it backed up by booting into DOS so it has full access to the partition without problems of files being in-use, but Ghost 14 works while Windows is running. Can I be sure it makes an accurate and usable image of my disc?

One other thing, having Ghost 2003, can I upgrade the trial version if I purchase a Ghost 14 upgrade?

Best Regards,

Tim.

Tim,

I had the same problem with Paragon trial. They didn't give me a recovery cd or iso-file to try out the recovery in DOS.

This was one big reason, to to buy this software.

In the meantime I work with Ghost 14 and I am very satisfies with it. You should buy it and I think, you will be happy with it.You still can use your old images.

I got the Ghost recovery by calling their hotline.

Unfortunately, the Symantec Recovery Disk is only available in the Full Version of the product. I am sorry for this inconvenience.
