Why is Norton Snap being retired?
We strive to provide industry-leading and relevant security to help protect your devices and the information on them. From time to time, we assess our offerings and features to ensure value to our consumers and partners. As a result, we have decided to retire Norton Snap on iOS and Android platforms.
As of May 15th, 2019 Norton Snap is no longer available or supported on Apple App Store and as of September 3rd, 2019 no longer available or supported on Google Play Store.
How do I get protection against malicious or unsafe web links that a QR code points to?
To get protection against malicious or unsafe web links through QR code, we recommend that you subscribe to, and install, Norton Mobile Security for iOS or Norton Mobile Security for Android. The Web Protection feature of Norton Mobile Security for iOS or Android helps detect and safeguard you from navigating to fraudulent and malicious websites.
Additionally, the App Advisor for Google Play feature of Norton Mobile Security for Android proactively scans apps before you download them and warns you in advance of any risky behaviors.
