Hello, I think i requested this in a separate message, combined with many other bugs / requests, but this is important so i would like to list separately… Since i administer several of my sibling’s kid’s PC’s as well as PC’s for a small business, it would be good if One person could be setup / login as the administrator, who has admin access with the ability to makes changes: (i.e, setup and change the settings, install safety minder, etc.), but then it would also be good if someone else could login that could ONLY SEE THE ACTIVITY without having change / setup access…cuase right now, the other person can only see questionable activity by setting up a notification with their email, but they CANNOT CURRENTLY see ALL activity. and we don’t want to setup all activity to go to emails, cuase it would be too much and not report-friendly… I will also create a separate request with a specific report / activty screen change… Thanks, Karen

Hi KLO,

 

Thanks for the suggestion.  I'll put it to the enhancement list for the management team to consider.  You probably already know it, the program does have an "INVITE PARENT" feature which allows multiple adults to monitor children online activities.

i don't remembe an INVITE feature...(i'll go look now)...i remember a SHARE, but that only sent an email notification to possibly join online family (that i could tell anyway)....but if invite, allows that person to change / edit settings, then i don't want this....can't have too many hands with admin rights....especially if they are NOT pc savvy....

Would it be possible if you could post a screen snap of the Web activities where shows the website is being blocked, but it can't be presented once you click on it?

The attached is a sample of Norton Online Activity Page. The BLOCKED website “d1nnxt8a5cumaf.cloudfront.net” is really a link on the “primary games.com” website. Primarygames.com is allowed since it is in an allowed category, however, the blocked website is in a category that is blocked…however, when you click on the details arrow on the activity page and/or you click on that link, you don’t really know what it is…i eventually just figured out that it was linked to the primarygames.com website

I visited primarygames.com and the site d1nnxt8a5cumaf.cloudfront.net was blocked.  I was able to access d1nnxt8a5cumaf.cloudfront.net from the Web Activity page.  Please check the screen snaps please.  By the way, I didn't see the attachment you mentioned in your post.

sometimes a website will be listed in the activity section as blocked, but when you click on it to see what it is, the page cannot be presented, because i think it is because it might be a link on another page that the user directly went to, but the user did NOT directly go to the one that is blocked ...because the link might be a blocked website (i.e., social networking), but the website they directly went to is allowed (i.e, shopping)....so in the activity section, it would be good if this could be indicated (that it was a link / accessed indirectly..and also list the website that it was originally on...

 

please also add this info to the extract extract  / online report that i previously requested...

sorry...my bad...a slight clarification...for this particular one, you can get the d1nnxt8a5cumaf.cloudfront.net  page, but to be honest, if you got this from just clicking on it, you really wouldn't know what it was, etc....you couldn't directly tell that it was a result of it being from the primarygames.com page...that's why it is confusing.

 

There are other blocked navigated-to sites that do NOT show the page...you just get a bunch of coded text...and that one is even more difficult to figure out....

 

i think i couldn't attach the screen prints because it said it was the wrong type...i did a screen print save, and put it into paint & saved it...let me know how i can do it so that i can attach it here...

PS..i attempted to attach two more screen prints, but it is not allowing me to attach them because of the following error: 

  • The file does not have a valid extension for an attachment. txt,log are the valid extensions.
  • The attachment file size is too large. The maximum file size is: 1,024,000 bytes

    •  

    they are screen prints, so they cannot have an extension of txt or log...so not sure what to do...please advise...but in the meantime, here are the details:

     

    1) shows a blocked website that only shows "Not Found", so have no idea where this came from, and i can't see any webpage accessed prior to this that it could have been navigated from, so it is difficult to address this blocked website

          the blocked website is:   content.webcollage.net

     

    2) shows a blocked website that shows a bunch of code text, so have no idea where this came from, and i can't see any webpage accessed prior to this that it could have been navigated from, so it is difficult to address this blocked website..
