If I’m not mistaken, that is a message from Windows Security Center. Check all your settings reported by WSC. I believe that the last time I saw this reported, a reinstall of 360 re registered Norton with WSC and stopped those messages.

I did get an exclamation point on the systray icon because of those before. Was just after I reinstalled it following the Protection Score fiasco. I did eventually get it to go away.

Nowadays, I only get an exclamation point on the systray icon when Norton wants me to run disk optimizer and file cleanup, both of which I’d rather not do through Norton so I really wish that would stop.

@RaveBlack Do you have 26.7.11086 (build 26.7.11086.0) installed? Are you running Smart Scans at some point? That will trigger these alerts.

For the disk optimizer and file cleanup? I’ve got that installed, this was happening prior to it. Not a constant thing, not caused by Smart Scans either. Happened twice, the exclamation point would already be on the systray icon after I logged onto Windows. Just annoyed me, that’s all.
