For those passing by reading this post. If you have one of the TP-Link devices in this listing, its time to replace it. These are end of life devices, no longer supported devices and will not receive
any future firmware updates. NOTE that these are NOT the only devices being targeted, other manufacturers are also being targeted for the same outcome in mind. If your router manufacturer lists your router hardware version several versions lower than the current model its time to replace your router regardless. I am replacing my TP-Link AX21 for that reason although its only 3 years old.

Hi,
Being connected to the web via an EOL router is certainly an element of analysis that could be added when analyzing the security of Wi-Fi networks on Norton 360 for Android?
Cheers.

It can be, given there are things Norton scans for then sees. But, doesn’t explicitly say what it is they found. Most times the notices state things along the lines of “Generic IDT” and the like. There could be an exploit there that the router vendor is unaware of, or, they just refuse to ignore it due to the expense of creating then releasing an update for millions of old devices. Either way it leaves the user unprotected and tarnishes the brand name in the process.
Edited: My replacement router is this one, I should be getting it by this Wednesday
