So my mother in law has been having some recurring issues with Norton 360 for some time. She took her laptop into a shop to be repaired last year, was charged £90 and told Norton was the reason the internet wasn't working. She handed me her laptop yesterday and I came to the same conclusion after a few checks.
I have tried opening Norton, going to Control Panel to uninstall, running system restore and one last effort tried downloading the tool from norton.com/nrnr on a computer with internet access, putting it onto a USB and have just found it has to download the installer once on the affected computer! I'm sure that would be very helpful if I had internet access.....
I don't really want to go near editing the registry. Wasn't sure if I could just delete all files to do with Norton 360/symantec from the C: drive? Really running out of ideas, so any help that doesn't involve another costly visit to a shop would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)
