Error EBAB03E9 trying to create a backup on Win7 Pro x64

I am getting an error trying use Ghost 15 to make a backup of my laptop's "D drive".  This is one volume on the actual drive - and the other volumes ("C" and "RECOVERY") can be backed up without error.  The Windows Backup feature of the OS completes a backup of all drives without error as well.

Error details: -Cannot create a virtual volume image of the selected drive.--Error EBAB03E9: Internal Application Error: Memory Access Violation c0000005: Application tried to read memory at 00000000.(UMI:V-0-3215-1002)

Machine/OS details:Dell Latitude E6510; i7 dual quadcore; 8gb ramWin 7 Pro x64 (build 7600)

Ghost: 15.0.1.36526

I've checked the disk both with Windows utilities and Dell's utilities and everything checks out - no bad sectors or anything.  I've uninstalled the Dell Controlpoint software and disabled the TPM chip in the BIOS.  Run Norton as Admin, etc.  Other users have reported the error on various forums but the memory "address" in their errors has never been "00000000" as I'm seeing with my error.

Any ideas?
