Error message 8920 1235

I have windows 7 64 bit. One of thre latest updates for N 360 Premier will not install -- error 8920 1235. I have reinstalled N360 but with the same result with this update. Help please.

Thanks Apostolos.  Yes I did  try support on main program and it did not find a fix and said that a reinstall would normally fix it but sorry to say it did not do so.  I shall do as you say and keep it for a while to see if it cures itself.  many thanks.

If no joy, you might try the NRnR tool which will give you a fresh installation of the product.

Do not try this if you have other Norton products installed like SSR, Ghost or others, as this tool will remove them also.

As an alternative, before running the NRnR tool, try  to Download the Intelligent Updater from: http://www.symantec.com/security_response/definitions/download/detail.jsp?gid=n95 and run it. (make sure to download the 64 bit as you have W7 x64).

Then do a Restart of the Computer->Run Live Update

Good question.  If it is the NPE as is being questioned in other thread - the Intelligent Updater probably will be not help as it appears the virus defs are completeing and that would also eliminate the clock settng being incorrect and probably the possibility of a server glitch.
