I send out email to a club that I am the communication officer. I send out increments of 50. Sometimes Norton comes back with a 452.4.1.1 error telling me I have gone over 100. I know I haven't because the 50 are the first thing I send out early in the morning before I send out anything else. What can I change and how to overcome this irritation? Charter tells me it isn't their fault, but something Norton is doing.
Can your norton product run normally? (ie. can you open it?)
If yes, open the main window of it, click on Help & Support -> One Click Support, and start a Support Session. First it scans your products integrity for known errors, and tries to fix it. If it fixes something/nothing, after the check close the program, and reboot. If you will get again the error message, do the setps from the "if not" part.
If not, download the norton removal tool from www.norton.com/nrt and the latest version of your product from www.norton.com/nis09 (or if you use nav, then www.norton.com/nav09). Disconnect from the internet and run the removal tool 2-3 times. It will delete every norton thing from your PC. Then reboot, and install your product. After the install you can connect to the net again.
Run LiveUpdate until you get no updates.
Can you try creating a new Backup set and then run Backup?

This could be a temporary problem with the backup server. Try to run LiveUpdate repeatedly until you receive all the available updates and restart your. Wait for some time, maybe a for few hours or so and then try to run backup again.

Having the same problem.
I wound up uninstalling 360 and downloading and installing the latest version. It is working now but I lost all of my identity safe passwords.
I am getting error messages 8504 and 101 and 360 won't open. Rebooted several times after Norton initiated a fix. No luck. Anybody know how to deal with these messages?

Hi grahamface,
Sorry to hear you lost your ID Safe passwords. In case you have to go this route in the future, it is always best to Export/Backup your ID Safe data prior to removing your Norton Product, that way it is available to Import/Restore after you install a fesh copy.
It is also recommended to do an Export/Backup of you IOD Safe data on a periodic basis so that if anything happens, you have acurrent copy of your data to restore/import.
Also when removing your Norton Product via the Control Panel. even if you do select the retain settings option, it is smart as a precautionary measure to still Export/Backup your ID safe before removing your product.
If you use the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool as Happy_P suggested, I do not believe it igves you the option to save the ID Safe data, so it is really important in that situation to be on the cautious side and Export/Backup ID Safe Data.
I'm sorry it is too late to help you now, but hopefully you'll rememeber this for the next occasion.

Hi:
Sorry about the attachment not showing. Hope you can see attachment noww.
Hi Colsen12,
Welcome to Norton Community
This error usually occurs due to issue in auto protect, try running live updates once. If you still have the issue please uninstall norton from the computer using Norton Removal Tool, download link for NRT will be www.norton.com/nrt.
After you uninstall using NRT please restart the computer.
Then you can download Norton Antivirus back from the norton account and install it on the computer
And then run the live updates again. This usually fixes the problem
Let us know whether the issue is resolved
