I have Norton 360 installed on my Android phone Android 8. I have Auto VPN to turn on and off that setting is on. Recently I installed a new router on my home network it is secured using WPA2 AES. Ever since I installed the router I get push notifications from Norton VPN that says Auto VPN has turned off VPN. The thing is I am for sure know the VPN never turned on. No push notifications saying it turned on and never a VPN Key at top of my phone.
[Edit: Clarified subject]
If it was a bug, and you say it is not happening any more, it would seem that it has already been fixed.
It hasn’t done it in a while that’s why I think it’s a bug in the app. Thanks you very much for the help.
Can you post a screenshot of the message next time you see it?

I know I can use Manual mode but how can you say it’s working as its should? I got random push notifications about every 10 minutes. Saying the VPN has been turned off when 1 The VPN never turned on and 2 my network is secure. Maybe it’s a bug in the App. I understand your trying to help and I thank you for that.
From your description, the Auto VPN is working as it should. It will only turn on the VPN function if Norton detects that the network you are connecting to is not secured by a strong password and/or it is not encrypted.
You are still free to use Manual Mode and turn it on when ever you wish.
Are you asking a question or just sharing your experience with the Auto VPN setting working as it is designed?
