I have a 64-bit Windows Vista Home Premium OS on a HP PC that I've had since after Thanksgiving. I had Norton IS and SystemWorks Basic Edition 12.0 installed. At some point shortly afterwards it started giving me this error message right at the moment of shutting it down that says : "the exception unknown software exception (0xc0000005) occurred in the application at location 0x76******", or 0x77******" although that last six digits always differ during each shutdown or restart. So far it's just been a pesky popup, but I would like know what's causing it and have it cleaned up. Sometimes I don't get the popup if my session wasn't too long, and sometimes I get multiple popups. I often look at YouTube Videos, or have audio streams from WinAmp while I'm online and wonder if that has anything to do with them.
Any help or comments from anyone who had a similar problem are appreciated!
