This is my first look at the newer v25 for Norton Clean.
What file are you wanting to exclude?
You cannot exclude one specific file. You can only exclude categories of files. Tap on the three bars at the top left of the Clean main screen and then scroll down to Settings > Quick Clean. From there you can choose a category of files you do or do not want cleaned.
You may be able to stop a file from being cleaned. From the main Clean screen, tap on Review and Clean. Then look through the different categories of files that Norton wants to clean. Tap the down arrow to the right of the category to expand the list of what will be cleaned. Uncheck anything you do not want to have cleaned. You will have to do this each time you use the app as your choices here will not be saved.
Thank you peterweb. I was looking to exclude 3 specific files. On my old phone, and I assume an older version of Norton Clean (I don’t remember the previous version), I was able to check mark a specific file for exclusion. It would be nice to be able to do that with this version. Again, thank you.
After a scan is done, you tap on Review and Clean. That brings up the categories that are due to be cleaned. Expanding those brings up more information about what files in that category are being cleaned. You can uncheck those to exclude them from the cleaning. Unfortunately, that has to be done each time they are detected.
What kind of files are you looking to protect?
