This morning I had a red x on the NIS icon. I ran the Fix Now option and the screenshot below is what I ended up with on my screen. WTF is going on with NIS now? First the ID Safe Vault gets moved to the cloud despite all the feedback during the beta testing period clearly stating that it shouldn't be and now this. Please don't pull a Microsoft on us and come out with their favorite response: "Problem not reproducable. Closed."
You say no one else can see the image inserted into the post but myself. There is no other way to attach a screenshot to a post because no image formats are acceptable. The only available alternative (other than creating a PDF) is to insert it directly into the post but based on your statement, that is basically a waste of time since no one else can see them but the original poster. That doesn't make any sense at all. If no one else can see an image when it is inserted to a post then why is it even possible to do so in the first place? Luckily, I own an Adobe Creative Suite so I can convert and attach the original picture as PDF.
As for the system time and date, there is not a problem and never has been.
There is a delay in the visibility of images. They must be reviewed and approved by one of the moderators. Once they pass inspection they are visible to all. Your image is now visible to all.
What was meant aabout the images is that they go through moderation and until they are released by the Norton Staff on duty they can't be seen by anyone (I don't think you can either) so it's not as crazy as it seems and yours is visible now.
The problem with attachments and images inside pdf's that I see elsewhere is they take a long time to come up for the viewer to see. So images are better and at normal times they do pass through moderation fairly quickly.
Did you try the Support / Subscription Status check to see if that resolved it?
Now that the image is viewable in two ways, hopefully someone can explain the rather bizarre contradictory screen. Basically, the main NIS screen says 246 days remaining at the same time as the license expired screen.

Sorry if I confused you with what I said about the mages - here's the "How to" for images: The NOTE at the bottom of that page explains the visibility of the image.
I guess I am missing something, you said : "Basically, the main NIS screen says 246 days remaining at the same time as the license expired screen." Can you elaborate on the "license expired screen" as I do not follow what you are referring to.
If a reboot and runnning LiveUpdate does not clear the situation, I suggest you run the Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool found here:
Be sure to save your identity safe data BEFORE you do this. Also, be sure to run live update (rebooting as requested until it responds "no updates found" and then reboot one last tmie.
I received the same error today, License Expired! I have a three user license with 115 days left and two of the three computers show expired. All I did was type in my key again and for the moment, all is good. Norton has really been going downhill recently. This 2013 version has so many problems. Makes you wonder how well the protection really works. Wake up Symantec.

If you look at the image there are two boxes - one clearly states that the license has expired while at the same time the main NIS box clearly shows there are 246 days remaining in my subcsription
Since I am having a busy week, I probably won't be able to run the program unti the weekend. The problem went away but that isn't the real concern here. How it happened it the first place is. I have a daily startup routine I perform every morning when I first startup the system.
1. NU does it's cleanup
2. Run NIS Live Update
3. Update / Run MalwareBytes quick scan
4. Reboot the system to make sure all the updates have completely been installed\
Needless to say when I saw the reported issue after attempting Step 2, I was kind of shocked

Sorry - I see it now - since I enlarged the screenshot.

If you are just concerned about how it happened, one thing I see is from your daily routine. What does the NU cleanup look at each day? The Malwarebytes may have found and removed something.
If it was just a one time occurance, I would not be worried. If it happens again, you will need to start looking at your system as a whole. It is often a combination of things that cause problems.
Just to confirm...the Malwarebytes is the free version not the Pro.
