Export & import norton password manager .csv file - solution to why it doesn't import

This has happened to me twice, so I thought I’d share it with other frustrated users.

Re: importing .csv file into Norton Password Manager.

According to the Norton help instructions, you must first export your Norton Password Manager data to get the exact .csv template that you populate with your passwords, and then import the .csv back into Norton Password Manager. The error issue arises when trying to import the .csv file back in:

Before you import your Norton Password Manager CSV file, check column B entitled “Version”. Make sure that the version is 2.0, not 2. It will not upload without you reformat the cell to number, in the 10th place, so that it reads 2.0

So annoying. The template exports as “2”, but must import as “2.0”. I don’t know why Norton hasn’t fixed this, its been like this for years.

Now, there may be other glitches, but that was my glitch (x2), and I hope that helps someone else out there.
