Facebook hack

Hello, Im trying trying to fiqure out how i can prevent my data being stolen. "http://faceniff.ponury.net/" This link is to an android app that let people steal a users profile. This is a sniffer, i want to know if i can confiqure my Norton internet security program to somehow findout if this program is being used. I actually installed this sniffing program on my phone and tried it, it worked! i was able to get to my facebook...and my moms. It kind of scares me that this can be done, can someone throw out any countermeasures to this? (aside from the being on a "secure" network.)

I dunno how this will work, but you can try the Norton Security for Mobile from the Android Market.

Check if Norton discovers that app as ANTI MALWARE

I think u misunderstood. I’m not asking how to remove it from my phone. I’m asking how to prevent my account info from my pc being taken… my phone is free of malware. The norton internet security program hopefully has a defense for my pc…at least a network detector or something. That’s what I’m trying to find out.

Hi ilikemoneygreen,

Enabling HTTPS for your Facebook account ought to protect your connection.  SInce this app intercepts wireless there isn't really anything you can do other than to use a secure connection.
