Hi, I keep getting a Backdoor. Trojan detected [avmanagerunified.dll] inside of [c:\documents and settings\local settings\application data\microcore.4.5.8056.1-ship-wd.v1.cab] I did scan my computer with 4 other Virus scanners including Norton Online scan all of them show no Backdoor. Trojan I also did Disable System Restore and update virus definitions and ran it in Saf mode. I think I have a false alert. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
If it comes back as safe you can submit it here as a false positive.
Hi breda,
We are in receipt of your file and have completed analysis. The file is indeed clean and our signatures have been updated to correct this false positive.
You can download the latest Rapid Release Virus Defintion (Sequence 85678, 20080910.025 or higher) files from this location:
ftp://ftp.symantec.com/AVDEFS/norton_antivirus_corp/rapidrelease/sequence/
You can download and run 'symrapidreleasedefsx86.exe' from that location.
Customers using Live Update to update their definition files will receive this update later this evening, close to midnight Pacific time.
I trust that this should resolve this problem for you.
Regards,
- DesiT
