False positive from SafeWeb

How do I tell SafeWeb to stop displaying an "Unsafe Warning" pop-up for a web site that I know is safe?

(I do not own the site, so I cannot do anything from that side.  I can only control the response generated on my personal computer--so please do not suggest something that requires action by the site owner as their response will be to tell folks that Norton is a bloated pig and/or dangerous and everybody should switch to AVG).

If it is not possible to set some kind of ignore flag on my computer, how do I disable the Safe Web function?

While I would much rather have an option to explicitly declare a site as safe, over-riding the warning (after the first time the pop-up appears), I appreciate you providing an option to turn SafeWeb off when it cannot be configured to report accurately.

Thank you also for a quick reply.

Hi VerumSeeker-

For the site that you feel is rated incorrectly, it may be helpful to other Norton users to share your review of the site here: Safe Web Community Buzz

Also please be aware that Norton Safe Web will periodically re-examine sites to determine if the threats found in the past have been resolved.

Thanks,

The site is www.boardgamegeek.com and I have already submitted an up-to-date review.  Is there any way to (for lack of a better term)... subscribe to the results of your re-examination for this particular site?  I would like to turn Safe Web back on once the correction has been made (but obviously do not want to manually go check every day).

Thank you again for the replies.

PMJI -- I've not used SafeWeb although I noticed the icon etc when I got the 16.5 updaye to NIS 2009.

I just used the URL you post and I get a completely safe message flag -- green check mark alongside the shopping trolley -- and when I click for more details on the drop down from it it takes me to:

http://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?url=http:%2F%2Fwww.boardgamegeek.com%2F

with everything green to go.

FWIW

Hi VerumSeeker,

The site has been reviewed and the rating changed to 'Green'.

Thanks for your suggestion to have a user created "Do Not Warn List" - that is a good one.

I wonder why I got a Green OK when OP first posted?
