Product reports "Norton Safety Minder has been disconnected. Monitoring unavailable." but monitoring seems to still be in effect. I also saw some messages about Safety Minder being disabled. When I asked my son about it, he pointed to the BHO in IE 8 Add-ons which was disabled from some earlier troubleshooting.
What is the difference between the Safety Minder BHO and the Safety Minder visible in the SysTray?
The BHO seems to have no effect except possible to report that Norton is disabled but that's not accurate.
