Since adding 360 to my Windows 11 device. Filemaker will not run any script with send mail. Can I simple exclude FileMaker from any scans?

…have you tried adding Antivirus and Scans exclusions?

Security → Advanced → Antivirus → Exclusions

Security → Scans → Exclusions

20639 Error in a script that send an email using SMTP server here
Hello, fortunately I have found the cause of error 20639. It was caused by Avast antivirus. I turn off the email protection and SMTP works correctly.

Unknown Error 20639: How to get a certificate to be recognized? here
A client on our system recently got and unknown error 20639, which we tracked down to a send email script step. He received this eror because the Avast antivirus was set to scan outgoing email. He tells me that our local email clients have a certificate that allows the email to pass through the antivirus, but we cannot figure out how to do this in FileMaker. We use the send email step in many scripts, some server side. PCI compliance will most likely demand we add the email scan to all machines on the network, so we need to figure out how the get these system generated emails past the block.

Caveat: I’m not familiar with FileMaker

Thank you for you thoughts, I have excluded FileMaker, but still have the same problem. I will look into Avast, although this was all fine until I installed 360.

My references to Avast is because Norton v24 is related to Avast.
I am not promoting Avast for you to look into.

Avast users over on Cloris Community report Error 20639 is related to Avast Email Protection.
Norton Email Protection is related to Avast Email Protection.
Avast users over on Cloris Community report turning off Avast Email Protection helps FileMaker.

Did you try turning off Norton Email Protection?..as test.

Caveat: I’m not familiar with FileMaker

Maybe, open a Norton support ticket and offer to send debug logs.
